Siri Vittrup

Siri Vittrup

  • Biography

Siri Vittrup graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts' School of Architecture in Copenhagen in 2014.

Her imagery is best described as a dreamy, colorful and energetic universe. With an intuitive and playful approach to the motifs, she explores the relationship between colors and the possibilities of the various media. Her universes revolve around the relationship between man, nature and the city, always with a longing for something that lies behind the horizon, the next street or beyond the physicality of the real world. The contrast and interrelations between stillness and constant movement and the necessity for both preoccupies her. The main motifs are often people in colorful robes that almost merge with their surroundings, stagnant or on the road, followed by horses or dogs or large flowers that seem to take over the spaces they stand in.
