Biography

As an artist, Nour Fog works sculpturally and installationally with the ceramic medium. Fog wants to challenge and expand the understanding of the body and the conventionally gendered contributing to a rounder, softer and more malleable understanding of the world. As a non-binary person, it is important for Nour to work against the classic gendered patterns and dynamics. Through displacement of shapes and layers of association, Fog searches for the places where the unique and culturally defined dissolve. Fog pushes and stretches ceramic as a medium and examines it in relation to sound, space and body in a more holistic way - in line with installation art.
